Trivial pursuit is a board game, it was made in 1979 in Montreal,Qc.
The creator was Chris Haney he was a photo editor for Montreal's Gazette & Scott Abbott. He was also sports editor for The Canadian Press.
The game was released in 1982 with help from John Haney(Brother) & Ed Werner(Close Friend).
The rights to the game were licensed to Parker brothers (which is now Hasbro) in 1988, After being turned down by the Virgin group.
In 2008 Hasbro brothers brought out the rights in full, for $88 million. As of 2004 nearly 88 million games had been sold in 26 countries and 17 languages.
